Michael D. Janich is a lifelong student of the martial arts with instructor's credentials in the American Self-Protection (ASP) system, Filipino Serrada Eskrima and the Natural Spirit system of Arnis. He is also the founder of the Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) and Counter-Blade Craft (CBC) systems of edged-weapon self-defense.
