SOG was the most secret elite U.S. military unit to serve in the war in Vietnam, so secret the government denied its very existence. In these two books, Major John L. Plaster, a three-tour SOG veteran, vividly recounts the unit's never-before-revealed exploits. In SOG: The Secret Wars of America's Commandos in Vietnam, Plaster documents the dangerous assignments and bravery of these unrecognized heroes of the Vietnam War. The companion photo history, SOG: A Photo History of the Secret Wars, contains more than 700 extremely rare photographs of SOG recon teams in action behind enemy lines in Cambodia, Laos and North Vietnam.

See the descriptions of the individual volumes for more details. This set is not available to wholesalers.

John L. Plaster served three tours in SOG. As a long-range reconnaissance leader, he led intelligence-gathering teams behind enemy lines in Laos and Cambodia before leaving SOG in late 1971. He was decorated for heroism four times and retired from the U.S. Army as a major. He is the author of SOG: A Photo History of the Secret Wars, The Ultimate Sniper and The History of Sniping and Sharpshooting.
