John Mullins spent 22 years as a special operations NCO and officer, retiring from the U.S. Army Special Forces with the rank of major. After retirement, he became a consultant in security and training. In 1989 he developed his own frangible ammunition and in 1997 patented the bullet that is now used by Longbow Incorporated to supply police, military and selected civilian ranges throughout the country.
