Combat Sanshou is a fighting art, and the purpose is to put your enemy on the ground without following him there: a true stand-up combat system designed for real-world combative application.

In Part Two of this three-part series, master martial scientist Wim Demeere teaches Combat Sanshou's brutal kicking and sweeping techniques. In addition to showing the basics such as front, side and roundhouse kicks, he also teaches knee strikes that won't make you compromise your base and balance, proper stomping techniques and how to defend yourself against kicks that can go as low as the ankle or as high as the face. Finally, he demonstrates several leg sweeps that you can use to send your opponent to the ground and put him at your mercy. For information purposes only.

Wim Demeere has practiced a variety of martial arts for more than 20 years, studying mainly Chinese systems and several full-contact fighting styles such as sanshou and Muay Thai. He won four national titles and a bronze medal at the 1995 World Wushu Championships.
