Paladin Press eBooks

Our eBooks are available via the Paladin Press website directly in both PDF and ePUB format. Which format you will download depends on your reading device:

ePUB is a standard eBook file that can be read on most eReaders*, as well as on computers, tablets, and iPad/iPhone/iTouch with the correct software applications installed. (See here for more information about ePUB files.)

PDF books can be read on any computer, netbook, or other electronic device that has the free Adobe Reader application installed.

* If you have a Kindle device, ePUB files will NOT work and the PDF file may be hard to read. We suggest Kindle owners check out our growing selection of eBooks at amazon.com.

Both file types (ePUB and PDF) will be available separately for all eBook titles we sell. It is up to you to select the file type that works best for you. In general, if you have an eReader or tablet device with the correct eReader software installed, the ePUB format will work best for you. If you will be reading the books on your home computer, laptop, or netbook, a PDF file would work best for you. If you are unsure if your eReader will support these file types, you should consult your device’s instructions, research online, or contact the manufacturer for more information.

Once your eBook order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation with a link to download your eBook at the bottom of the e-mail. You have two (2) days to download the book from date of purchase. If you have not downloaded your file in that 2-day period, the file will be lost and you will have to start over by purchasing the book again.

The following are general directions for downloading eBooks onto some of the more popular devices. Please see your eReader instruction for more specific directions for your device.

Directions for reading ePUB files on your iPhone/iPad/iTouch:

1. Download the iBooks app to your device if you don’t already have it.

2. Purchase the ePUB file you want from the Paladin Press website.

3. Click the link at the bottom of the e-mail confirmation to access downloadable files. If you purchase the book via your Paladin Press website account, you can login to your account on the website and click the “Downloads” link to find your file.

4. Save the ePUB file(s) to your computer in a location of your choosing.

5. Open iTunes. Go to File >> Add File to Library. In the window displayed, browse to the location where you saved the ePUB file; select the file and press OK.

6. In the left column in iTunes, browse to the Books section under the Library heading. Your ePUB file should be there.

7. Sync your iPhone/iPad/iTouch to your computer. When the device is synced, drag the book file from the Books location to your device. If you have problems dragging the book file, you can also copy and paste the file.

8. Eject your device. The book should now be located in your iBooks app.

Directions for downloading to an eReader such as the Nook:

1. Purchase the ePUB file you want from the Paladin website.

2. Click the link at the bottom of the e-mail confirmation to access downloadable files. If you purchase the book via your Paladin Press website account, you can login to your account on the website and click the “Downloads” link to find your file.

3. Save the ePUB file(s) to your computer in a location of your choosing.

4. Connect your eReader to your computer via its USB cord. It should appear as a removable USB device on your computer under My Computer for PC users, or in the Finder Window on a Mac. If you get a warning on your eReader screen to eject the eReader from your computer before using, disregard it.

5. Copy the ePUB file you downloaded in step 3 onto your eReader by dragging and dropping it or copying and pasting it to the removable USB device. Depending on your eReader, you may see a “My Documents” folder upon opening the device on your computer. If so, place your eBook in this folder.

6. Eject your eReader from your computer. The eBook should now be available to read on your device.
